Feed Your Imagination: Foodscapes by Carl Warner

Food photographer Carl Warner, a graduate from the London College of Printing, majored in Photography in 1982, started out his career as a professional landscape photographer. To help clients in the food industry promote the importance of healthy eating he conceptualized shooting landscapes entirely made out of food!

Constructed in Warner‘s London studio, placed on top of a triangular table, this amazing series of images and short videos called Foodscapes came to life. With his main subject being exposed to a lot of heat from different lighting equipment, Warner needed help from skilled model makers and food stylists to ensure that the food’s freshness is preserved throughout their three days of construction. Warner uses the traditional composition techniques that give people the impression that what they are seeing are natural landscapes then realizing that everything is actually edible!
